For the last thirty years, he has composed and produced literally hundreds of scores for features films, television shows, CDs and over a thousand commercials for some of the most prestigious production companies and advertising agencies in the world. With Emmy, ASCAP, CLIO and Peabody awards to his credit, Gary is the founder and principal composer of MUSAIC, a full service company specializing in creating original musical solutions for all media.

In addition to scoring 14 seasons of the phenomenally successful television series, Unsolved Mysteries, Malkin has scored projects for HBO, NBC, CBS, and PBS, as well as for many feature films and socially responsible documentaries.

Malkin has worked with a vast array of artists throughout his career, including Bonnie Raitt, Kenny Loggins, Bobby McFerrin, and film director Andrei Konchalovsky. He has conducted and composed for orchestras in Los Angeles, New York, San Francisco, and Rome.

Malkin also co-created Graceful Passages: A Companion for Living and Dying, an internationally acclaimed CD/book featuring the world’s leading thought leaders in support of those going through life transitions.

In 2011, Malkin and partner Dan Alvarez composed the score for THRIVE: What on Earth Will It Take?, a feature film documentary globally released online in ten languages.
