Dan Alvarez has been an active member of the music and recording community for almost twenty years. His composing,
arranging, sound design, production, and performing credits
include more than twenty recordings, as well as a multitude
of radio and television commercials, feature and industrial
films, and network television series.
Dan has been the recipient of two Emmy awards for his work
on the documentary film "Birth of a City" (2000), and for his
work on a public service announcement for AIDS research
sponsored by radio station KKSF (1996). Dan has also worked
extensively with pioneer sound designer and composer Denny
Jaeger, (whose credits include Michael Jackson, Stevie Wonder
and Kenny Loggins), co-creating many of the original sounds of
the groundbreaking Synclavier, which took the international
music world by storm in the late 80's. Dan has also enjoyed an
ongoing collaboration with composer and nature-recordist,
Dennis Hysom, co-producing and co-writing music for a series
of CDs sponsored by the Discovery Channel Stores.
